I had almost forgotten about this, and was surprised to find the link still existed!
A video I made almost a year and a half ago, for the World Nomads Travel Scholarship 2007. It didn't win, but made it to the final list!

PATLI GALI (Narrow Alley)
Synopsis: This film is the journey of a student from the new part of town (National Institute of Design, Paldi), through the narrow cramped streets of old city (in Ahmedabad). The visuals also reflect typical ways of perceiving the old city, and moving on through the city as it wakes up and goes about its business. My attempt has been not only to use images to evoke the main idea but also, the soundtrack, as an active part of the film. The editing pattern follows the main idea of exploring a space and its elements. Therefore, stopping at certain places and moving on to others.
Have a look, and if you're interested, also participate in the World Nomads Travel Scholarship 2009, which promises to take you on assignment to Vietnam and have your video documentary broadcast on Nat Geo Adventure!
